20 Questions
As some of you may know, I got into a relationship earlier this year and it has certainly been life changing. I would occasionally share random pictures of ourselves on social media but being particularly shy and private about my relationship life, it took me a while to get used to even calling him my boyfriend.
This probably sounds silly, but I held off on saying anything for a long period of time for two main reasons… First, a part of me felt scared that if I officially announced our relationship, that it would mean everything was real. This was really scary for me as it made me feel very vulnerable because something as good as this felt nearly impossible to me at the time. The second part of my hesitation was due to me feeling nervous. About what exactly? Well, I felt nervous that making any public announcements would mean pressure from myself and others. I was nervous about the countless questions about marriage and “what’s next” because the reality of it was that I did not want to feel pressured or cornered into providing an answer to a question that is unpredictable, and most importantly, I did not want to drive myself crazy asking myself those same questions. But of course, with the seductive ways of social media mixed with giddy feelings, I finally posted a picture of us on Facebook in the spring and made it “Facebook official.” As expected, I felt super flushed as soon as I clicked the “post” button and I was completely surprised and humbled as questions came my way about who this handsome mystery man could be.

In the spirit of blogging and giggles, I thought it would be fun to share some information (aka interrogate him…lol) about who my handsome mystery man is... I also thought it would be fun to compare our answers to each other for extra laughs, and with that being said, have fun reading because I certainly enjoyed putting him in the hot seat!! Haha! Enjoy!
Meet Xoua
Meet Xoua
About Him
1. What is your name and how would you describe yourself?
Hers - His name is Xoua Vang and he is a variety of things… patient, humble, laid back, smart, practical, and confident. He has a cool and calm personality and does not let the small things get to him. He puts every situation in perspective and is open to trying new things. He is a gentleman and generally does not talk much unless you talk to him, which generally is not a problem since I talk so much. He is also smart but keeps it on the down-low to avoid being “voluntold” with things to do (haha geezz, rude) and likes to read manuals for fun. He also is super handsome and I am crazy about his Adam’s apple. Lol!
2. Where are you from and where do you currently live?
His - I am from Thailand. Currently living in Renton, WA.
Hers - He
is from Fresno, California (my birth hometown) and currently lives in Seattle,
Washington.
3. What do you do for a living?
His - I work as a Equipment Engineer for The Boeing Company.
Hers - He
works as an engineer and works with machines that build planes. We always joke
that nobody really knows what his department does... *crickets*
4. What are the top 5 things you like to do for fun or to kill time?
His - Video games, tinkering with electronic, sports, outdoor & trying new things.
Hers - He
likes to play computer games, watch football, read manuals, watch Food Network,
and talk to his amazing girlfriend (haha).
5. What is your favorite color? Why?
His - Gray. Cause there are many shades.
Hers - Grey…
all 50 shades! Haha, just kidding. He really does like grey though because it
goes with everything.
6. What is your favorite time of the year? Why?
His - Winter season, because of snowboarding.
Hers - He
likes Spring but I’m not sure why… maybe because it is when the weather starts
to get warmer.
7. What is your favorite type of food? Least favorite type of food?
His - Steaks and watermelon. Least favorite is spam.
Hers - I
think his favorite is a toss up between pho and Mexican tacos. Haha, I could be
wrong but I know he generally likes to eat anything that does not take too much
effort. His least favorite type of food are items with hard textures that can
scratch your throat, like soft shell crab, shrimp with the shell still on it,
etc.
8. If you could go anywhere on a vacation, where would you go and why?
His - Japan, because of their technology.
Hers - He
would go to Japan… I am guessing it is because of their advancement in
technology but perhaps it also has to do with the culture.
9. Are you #teamandroid or #teamiphone?
His - #teamandroid
Hers - Definitely #teamandroid.
Hers - Definitely #teamandroid.
10. Are you #teampepsi or #teamcoke?
His - #teampepsi
Hers - This is a deal breaker conversation that we got into when we first met… we both do not personally drink much pop, but lucky for him, he is #teampepsi. But did we agree that if there is no Pepsi, then Dr. Pepper is also super yum!

Hahahhaa oh boy, this was a lot of fun to read and write! Obviously there are some things I learned about him (ahem... winter!!) LOL!! Hopefully you got to know a bit more about our personalities just from our answers! I showed him this fun picture and said it basically describes us in a nutshell...
Hahaha, that being said, stay tuned as we prepare the next set of questions to share. Til next time...
